Default 2005 FEH 144K mile report

Went 105K miles before a need to replace the drivetrain coupler and power steering electronic modular. Rust in the hybrid body compartment and rear wheel well also cost a few bucks. Brakes, rotors and tone rings also replaced as needed. The mileage (mpg) doesn't seem to have changed from its younger days. Tire and road noise is louder than what I wished but able to tolerate it. Still burn more E85 than E10 without any "parts" wearing out or "blowing-up" from it.

A very handsome car. Is there any evidence to back up the common claim that hybrids will get worse, if not a lot worse, mileage as they age?
