Took my '08 FEH to NYC this past weekend, it was great to see all the hybrid taxis... and the city was amazing...

Unfortunately I was parked on a side street and this happened:

Looks to be ~2-3k to fix the windows, the glass got everywhere, a lot dropped into the area next to the battery, I was unable to vacuum this up-- Anyone have any idea how to get this glass out?

What a mess. They took 2 backpacks out of the cargo area, one had some camera equipment in it, the other just clothes. It appears they broke the side window without realizing the hybrid vent took up much of the window, i'm guessing they then moved to the rear window and broke that to get in...

Not at all what I expected based on the subject line. Sorry to see that happen.

 

Fortunately it seems insurance will be paying for the fix (minus deductible)... and my renter's insurance is going to pick up the camera equipment i lost-- still a major hassle!

Anyone have any ideas about getting the glass out of the areas beside the battery? it's too small to get any of my vaccuum hoses in...

 

If you wear safety glasses and old clothes, you may be able to blow the glas out of some spaces with an air compressor.
