Milwaukee Green Vehicles Workshop 3-30-07
Hello to MiHG members and friends,
This is the first call for MiHG members or friends who would like to attend the Milwaukee area’s best event regarding alternative fuel transportation. This “Green Vehicles Workshop” will be held at the downtown campus of MATC and will be from 8am to 2:30pm on Friday March 30th. Our MiHG is a co-sponsor of this event and as such we can offer our members admittance to this all day event for only $10. This will cover the workshop, a breakfast and lunch and all other activities on that day. The format will include over 15 speakers, question and answer segments as well as a panel discussion and an auto show of alternative fuel vehicles.
This 4th annual event is called “Driving Toward 2020”. This event will cover alternative fuels used in transportation with presentations on ethanol, biodiesel, compressed natural gas, electric and propane fuels. In addition, there will be speakers from GM, Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Toyota and Honda regarding the current and upcoming lines of alternative fuel vehicles.
In addition to discussing all aspects of alternative fuels and vehicles, there will be presentations on local governmental “green” initiatives as well as oil dependency and global warming issues. During the breaks and lunch periods there will be an auto show in the MATC courtyard which will include; gas-electric hybrids including PHEV’s, biodiesel, electric, CNG and propane vehicles.
If you are thinking about an alternative fuel vehicle or simply want to enhance your knowledge of alternatives fuels, local governmental initiatives, oil dependency or global warming, this is THE local event. All you need to do is to send me an email (or call 262-691-4349) if you are interested in attending and then send a check for $10, as soon as practicable. The most important thing is to let me know if you are interested since seating may be limited. I will register you for the event and then send me a check or pay me the day of the event.
If you can please let me know ASAP if you would like to attend. This event is a “must do” and the price is right as a member or friend of the MiHG. I’ve attached a detailed program for this in MS Word.
The MiHG is proud to be a co-sponsor of this dynamic event and I look forward to seeing as many as you there as possible.
