Default 2009 Dodge Durango HEV won’t start

A couple months ago my wife was driving our Dodge Durango Hybrid and the “HEV service light” came on. After reaching the house and parking it in the driveway, the vehicle would not restart. Turning the key into the “on” position, all the lights would come on as usual but when attempting to start it, nothing would happen. No start, no noise, no clicking, nothing. Got the vehicle towed to a certified Dodge hybrid dealership and they diagnosed the problem. After repairing the issue they diagnosed, still nothing. Since then I had it towed to another auto repair shop. After over a month of troubleshooting, still unable to identify why the Durango will not start. Searched the web for a similar problem but cannot find anything. I am hoping that someone else has experienced this same issue and has a fix for it. Trying not to put more money into it by randomly changing parts to correct the issue.

Found out there is a switch(colored orange) that kills power to the battery, it’s located near the floor of the vehicle under the seat directly behind the driver. There is a hard plastic cover over it (the one in our Durango was off). Must’ve gotten bumped by one of the kids.

Check the 12V battery and HV battery contactors, as a weak or faulty 12V battery can prevent starting. Inspect the inverter and DC-DC converter, as failures in these can cause no-start issues. Verify all fuses and relays related to the hybrid system and starter circuit. Use a high-level OBD-II scanner to check for hybrid-specific error codes. If a Dodge hybrid dealership couldn’t resolve it, consider a hybrid specialist with advanced diagnostic tools.

Did the old cat con honeycomb break apart? Fixed an old lady's minivan where this happened and there was honeycomb lodged further downstream in the exhaust causing the same issue.
