MG Cyberster Stuns as Lithe & Futuristic Sports Car
The MG Cyberster is an otherworldly sports car bringing the MGB back from the future.
After an appropriate amount of tease, we finally have our first look at the new MG Cyberster concept. And it is simply gorgeous. Taking inspiration from the MGB Roadster; it is an agile two-door, two-seater sports car. But this all-electric car goes beyond the beloved classic. The MG Cyberster combines avant-garde style with visionary performance. It feels like a supercar from another dimension, and we love it.
MG’s global design team clearly had a strong vision. Boldly taking the classic convertible shape, the Cyberster injects an ultra-modern, gamer-inspired aesthetic.
Features such as the classic round head lights and slender grille remain–but have been wildly upgraded. Now the car includes interactive “Magic Eye” headlights that open when switched on. The grille also serves as an aerodynamic air duct that leads to the front wheels.
A laser belt LED strip runs along the side of the car while the flattened ‘kamm tail’ design nicely defines the rear end.
Inside, the interior feels lush and state-of-the-art. A digital fiber interior design theme puts the power in the hands of the driver quite literally. Touch-screen tech is utilized via a large-sized LED instrument panel and second central screen.
Performance is driven by intelligent all-electric architecture with an upgraded version of module-less battery technology (CTP). With this, the MG Cyberster gets a range of 498 miles and accelerates from 0-60 in less than three seconds. Intelligent driving, active-upgrading technology, 5G interconnectivity, and level 3 autonomous driving capability puts the Cyberster atop the advanced smart technology.
