Ford has not been the most overzealous automaker for hybrids and EVs. And–it would appear–that they had the right idea. Traditionally, the company has demonstrated that when they produce EVs and hybrids, they don’t do so by halves.

Knowing the importance and staggering value of the F-Series, they were simply not going to risk releasing a subpar truck just to keep up with the Joneses. The 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid was not the first of its kind to hit the market, but it is definitely one of the best. Moreover, the F-150 hybrid’s success and acclaim in North America demonstrates Ford’s wisdom in waiting for the right vehicle at the right time.

By testing the more EV-friendly market in Europe, it gives the Blue Oval an excellent way to test the waters. Ford is noted for listening to and incorporating the needs, wants, and feedback of their drivers. With a new and large EV/hybrid market in Europe, Ford will be able to gauge response to this new tech and performance before it goes worldwide.
