Revived Name
The Fisker Karma has been around for a number of years now, and its founder, Henry Fisker, managed to produce around 2,000 of the elegantly-styled sedans over that period of time. But the Fisker name is long gone now after Chinese auto-parts supplier Wanxiang purchased what was left of the company and renamed it Revero in 2017, then dropping that moniker for the cheaper and much-evolved Karma GS-6 for the 2021 model year.Photos: Karma
Smoothing out the Edges
The spirit of the original Karma - including its plug-in hybrid drivetrain and gorgeous styling - remains intact, however. Karma has improved upon all of the previous car's cons, however, starting with the decision to utilize the BMW i3's turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine paired with a 24.6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.Photos: Karma

Big Improvements
That change saved a tidy 357 pounds over the outgoing model and results in a generous output of 536 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque, which propels the GS-6 from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds with an impressive all-electric range of 71 miles.Photos: Karma

Customization Options
The GS-6 comes with a wide range of customization options, including elements like reclaimed wood salvaged from California wildfires, carbon fiber, and a range of five interior leather color combinations. New for 2021, Karma has introduced two new exterior colors - Saguaro Green and Imperial Copper - that will join a diverse palette comprised of 10 other California-themed hues. The GS-6 will also offer a black-out option and various exterior carbon fiber elements.Photos: Karma

Optional caliper colors also include silver, blue, yellow, and two shades of orange, and certain trim levels include options for either 21- or 22-inch wheels and surface finishes.Photos: Karma

Total Control
The high-resolution connected displays in the GS-6 serve as the information hubs for tech-forward drivers, controlling the vehicle systems such as steering feel, accelerator pedal aggressiveness, ADAS behavior, HVAC, audio functions, camera displays, and other vehicle systems. Using Bluetooth connectivity, a driver’s phone can be used to activate Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and their in-car ecosystems. In addition, the center display on the GS-6 features personalized comfort zones for heated and vented seats, mirrors, temperature, audio, and lighting.Photos: Karma

Attractive Pricing
Then there's the matter of price. While the original Karma stretched well over six figures, the new version features a much more reasonable base price of $85,700, while the electric-only GSe-6 model will start at $81,700. Step up to the Luxury and Sport trim levels, and you'll pay $95,700 and $105,700, respectively, which makes the GS-6, dare we say, quite the bargain.Photos: Karma
