Toyota plant suspends Prius production after fire

Toyota Auto Body normally assembles about 1,000 finished vehicles a day at the Fujimatsu Factory, about one-quarter of which are Prius gas-electric hybrids.

St happens! Oh well, they will get back in production as soon as they can.
However, it doesn't mean an end to Prius supply. There are two plants making them in Japan. One at Toyota City and the other at Fujimatsu that had the fire. After doing a VIN lookup on mine, some time back for another question I had, I discovered that mine was manufactured at Toyota Auto Body in Fujimatsu. I seriously doubt that will have much impact at all. However don't be surprised if bad dealers use this is a way to again justify 3k sidestickers.
