Default replacement headlight bulb

A headlight bulb died in my 03 Prius. The bulb has a metal strip on it, which is odd. Checkers doesn't have the right kind. They said a new bulb may be $200. Anyone know where I can get a much cheaper bulb?TIAInfael

Smile Re: replacement headlight bulb

I found two sites when looking to replace my white fog light bulbs with yellow.
www.hellausa.com is one, the other is Susquehanna Motor Sports Ph; 610-944-3233 or their email is; orders.mosports@verizon.net. Both sites had replacement headlight bulbs, just remember to be careful and pick the correct one for your vehicle. You can give year and vehicle model and type, they will be happy to assist you. Just remember these HID Bulbs are NOT Cheap! Good Luck, Robert

Confused here infael. Yours is 2003 or 2004 Prius? If the forrmer it is a conventional quartz envelope, xenon filled bulb, $10 and up at the car parts store. If it is 2004, it may be the same or it may be HID.

Here is a picture page to help;
