Default Google and the Prius, a Perfect Match

Many corporations talk the talk on the environment, now Google is walking the walk, with a modified Prius.

Google is backing a fuel efficient fleet of plug in Prius hybrid cars. These cars can travel further than the average American commutes on a single charge. After that distance it switches to traditional gas/electric hybrid technology. Google states these cars produce up to 65% less CO2. On top of this they say these cars get an extra 30mpg better mileage than the traditional hybrid car (that's hybrid car, not gas pwered) !

With Google's support and a 10 milion dollar funding program towards plug in car developent expect to see more extension cords connecting to a Prius soon.

It's great to see corporate leadership, rather than forcing companies kicking and screaming.

With Googles's image as a leader in their industry expect their competition to fall further behind as they run away in a Prius to the greenest image of any major corporation and bring along everyone who support a cleaner environment.

I wonder who Microsoft is teaming up with? Ford perhaps?
