Question 2008 Camry hybrid check hybrid/check engine

This past month the Check Hybrid System light has came off and on. then Decides to stay on at one point along with a check engine light. I take it to the auto parts. It tells me I need a mass air flow sensor so I got it and replace that and the check engine light went off so did the check hybrid system as well. fast forward to today…. everything been good until today when I was driving and all of a sudden the check hybrid light came back on and a little later today the check engine light came on. I was driving it and I lost complete power and when I tried to accelerate I couldn’t I pulled off the road I waited for about five minutes I tried to start it again and it started and everything was OK but the lights were still on, but I wanted to get to the auto parts store so that I can connect it to the machine and they could tell me what the code is gonna be so I can begin this dreaded nightmare again he tells me I needEd the P3191 see attached document mass air flow sensor again???? which is what I already replaced last month . The guy tells me from the auto parts store that I should’ve got maybe the manufacturer one and not the one from the auto parts like the one they sell. basically spend more money and get the one from actually the Toyota dealer so I said well I bought the part here with you. I can return it and it has a warranty on it so I can return it and you can exchange it for the one that you’re recommending me to get so I’m not sure what to do. I don’t even know if that’s the real problem because the guy proceeded to tell me that he doesn’t think that that’s the problem.
A little history a year ago I replaced the hybrid battery already because I was having the same problem along with the ASC light also but that time the code telling me I needed the battery well I got the hybrid battery that I bought has a lifetime warranty on it but they will not replace it until the code throws that code saying that that’s what needs to be replaced well so far that’s not the code that’s popping up it only did that last year and that’s when it told me actually said the hybrid battery needed to be replaced well this is not the code this time. This is a mass airflow sensor code popping up so but it is doing the same exact symptoms as it did when I needed the battery. I think I’m eventually I’m gonna need the battery i Think it’s inevitableI have a feeling that these go frequently

please help any advise

P3191 is not a MAF sensor code. It is "Engine does not Start"

P0101, 0102, 0103, 0110, 0111, 0112, and 0113 are indicative of MAF sensor issues.

The most likely causes in order of probability are as follows:
  • Air induction system
  • Throttle body
  • Fuel pressure
  • Engine
  • Mass Air flow meter
  • Out of fuel
  • Engine coolant temperature sensor
  • Crankshaft position sensor
  • Camshaft position sensor
  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU
In my experience a dirty throttle body is the most common cause for this code. A dirty MAF sensor can as well.

If there are other codes present, they should be pursued first as MANY things can ultimately trigger P3191. It is very possible that Oreilly can't read other Hybrid specific codes, and you may be dealing with something different.
