Default Impact of A/C?

I have now finished a little over 100 miles of driving, on a fresh tank, with about 90%+ A/C use. In my opinion I do not see asignificant decrease in MPG using the A/C (maybe .5 MPG). Does anyone have any quantifiable results that either support of shoot down my observation?

hey john

the impact of AC in my highlander, like every car, hybrid or not , is noticeable. It probably accounts for about 1 maybe 2 max mpg. We live in florida so it really isnt an option to go without it right now. I think if you do the math, it works out to probably 20 miles less per 14 gal tank. This is what we are on target for with our second tank, our first needing little ac.

Getting still near 25mpg - i guess you can round it to 3/4 a gallon, which is about $2.50 per tank.

Lets see ....... $2.50 saved sweating our butts off for a whole tank......or having 70 degree temp inside the vehicle?
