My husband rarely drives my HiHy. Yesterday he was backing it into the garage with the energy display turned on. He wondered why it would show power to the rear wheels. He is an old mechanic (very old) so I was surprised he even asked. I know zero about cars, but my reply was "probably because it has 4-wheel drive?"

You all can laugh at this non-vehicle-savvy female, but is that the reason?

The Hybrid Synergy Drive does reverse in electric mode only. And, the 4wdi has a motor-generator for the rear wheels.
