Default Burning Oil - Normal?

I've found at every oil change 5 qts or 0w-20 go in, but only about 3.5 qts are drained out. Are you guys burning this much oil too? Is this normal? there are no visible leaks and the HH runs great. I'm just wondering if this is normal.

it's a 2010 Highlander Hybrid 4wd.

That seems a bit high to me but how often are you doing oil changes? mileage?

Believe it or not, manual for my 2012 HiHy says it is "normal" to burn a qrt per 600 miles. That's worse than GM spec with their unhinged engines.

Maybe my engine is just really well broken in but I don't lose anywhere near that much oil between oil changes.......I've never even needed to add any.
