Default Battery Level Indicator

We purchased a used 2006 Lexus RX 400h and love it.

I've been watching the energy consumption page over the last 700 miles and have a quesiton about the battery level indicator.

So far, the battery level indicator has reached a "green" (not blue or purple) level only once. When it showed green, there was still room above highest green bar that was white -- maybe anothe rgreen bar would have been added there, but wasn't.

Mostly, the battery level indicator stays blue about two bars from the top. Is this normal?

Thanks,
mjc

Perfectly normal. The SOC (state of charge) works in a narrower than complete range in order to maximize battery life.

Thanks nomorebenz. Good to know that's normal operation.
