Toyota Stock vs Ford

Toyota Stock vs Ford
One of the main reasons I bought a toyota was their quality. I looked at Ford's stock back to 2005 which was 13.75. Mid 2008 it dropped to near zero. Currently Ford is back to 11.95. Not bad, the new CEO was a big help and the popular Fusion and Focus are both hot sellers for Ford.
Toyota stock in comparison.
2005 toyota stock was 76 per share.
Mid 2006 is peaked at 137.5
Before the recall is was down to 89 due to the economy.
After the recall it has dropped to 73.90 at Thursday's close.
Looking at the Toyota/Ford stock comparisons, I would think toyota would be able to have a quicker recovery. I'm talking about Fords earlier roll over problem with their SUVs.

Re: Toyota Stock vs Ford
Not sure why you picked that time frame - Toyota stock is about where they were in 2000 and Ford is down 60%. I'm gonna bet that F has a better return on Investment than TM by Feb. 2013 if you buy today.
Everything I read says Ford's quality is higher than Toyotas. Plus, if you buy Ford stock you qualify for x-plan - it's good to be an owner of the Company!

Re: Toyota Stock vs Ford
I choose 2005 after Ford had recovered from the year 2000, from the SUV roll over problems they had back then.
