Question Timing Belt or Chain

Does the TCH have a timing belt or timing chain? If it has a belt, I assume the recommendation is to change it at 50,000 miles?

I think it is belt (someone correct me), and I think replacement is around 100K miles (again correct me; I don't have the manual with me).

According to the 2007 repair manual...unless I am reading it all wrong....it is a chain.

Actually 2 chains upper and lower. the only belt on this rig is for the water pump.

Toyota started using chains with the VVT engines back around 2002.

Thanks all. My 2005 Vibe had a chain, Toyota drivetrain. Nice little car, traded it for the TCH.

I brought in my 2007 Camry Hybrid today 90K for the timimg "chain". The dealer told me it's non-servicable, and doesn't need to be replaced. So They hit me up for the 90k maintenance check, (cost almost the same)
