TCH Windshield ROCKS!

TCH Windshield ROCKS!
After reading the posts about the TCH Windshield's tendency to pit and/or crack when hit by road debris, I adopted an ultra-conservative driving approach.
For over four months and 5,000+ miles, I hung way back from vehicles in front of me and hugged the shoulder when being passed on the driver's side. It seemed to work well until last week.
I then caught two direct hits to the windshield in one day on the interstate and third on a local 4 lane. Each was a grape-sized rock that landed with a very loud 'THWACK', leaving a dusty ring around the eye-level point of impact.
None of the three hits left a visible pit, scratch or crack. I consider myself lucky, but the TCH windshield is not as fragile as I imagined.

Re: TCH Windshield ROCKS!
I ordered the diamond coating offered by my dealer as well having had a positive experience with it on my past car. Sure enough 3 days after I got the car a rock got flung up the size of a golf ball and smacked the window hard enough that it sounded like a gunshot. Amazingly, no damage!
I don't know if it was the windshield or the coating, but not complaining.
