I searched through the threads and couldn't find anything about a creaking/squeaking sunroof. Mine has started making all kinds of noise when closed, even on warm days. Has anyone had success with reducing or eliminating the noise either through your dealer or on your own?

 

There is a TSB to fix this. Go to your dealer and have them check on TSB-0089-08 and then fix the poping noise from around your sunroof.

 

I have a 2008 TCH. The sunroof started creaking shortly after I bought it. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it. I had to leave it for a day as it was a time-consuming job.

 

Thanks for the info. My schedule is really crazy, so I guess it will have to wait. I don't like the local dealer, but I can't get back to where I purchased it. Is the TSB for all 2008s? I remember looking over TSBs a few months after buying it (Oct. 2007) and thought that the TSB for the sunroof covered a certain period of manufacturing. At the time, mine was not in that time frame. Maybe I'm wrong or it has changed. Whatever the case, I will get to the dealer and am glad to know that they will (or should) be able to remedy the noise.

 

I just scheduled to have mine done. It should take about 3 hours as they have to drop the headliner.

 

Does this happen when it is open? I notice that after I close it I get an odd sound up there...sometimes....

It will "pop" in the roof with it closed and the car goes over a bump or hits a hole at slow speed.
