Gotta love owning a hybrid when gas goes to this level...........but truth be known, even if gas was what is was in 2004 ($1.40)........you would still be getting 50% mileage in a Hybrid!!

I love pulling into my friend's gas station to talk with him. I point to the pumps and ask "...what are those things?"

Gas in LA, circa 1972. Notice it comes with 10x stamps as well.



I must admit that I took this picture driving through the area because it was the cheapest gas I'd ever seen anywhere. Gas most places at the time was in the mid 30's.

I'm not that far off though, so I know what ya mean!!
I always had sports cars and I keep telling people I got a new car and their like "THATS your new car??". Makes me feel old and to grown up...lol

And those were FULL SERVICE prices. In those times there was no such thing as a self service pump. They pumped the gas, cleaned your windows, checked fluid levels and tire pressures.
