Since achieved mileage is effected by the length of trips, I thought I'd ask.

I have two, 3 miles each way or 20 miles each way. When I do the three mile commute, I drive my Ford Ranger which gets better mileage than the TCH on such short trips.

My trip is 52 miles each way. This is one of the biggest reasons I wanted to get a hybrid. The TCH is a great hybrid and I don't feel that I had to compromise a thing as far as creature comforts go!

I wish they had a TCH offered back when I drove 140 miles round trip from North Texas to downtown Dallas to work. That was in 1992 for 5 years.
Now i'm retired it's a 20 mile round trip to town almost daily.

If this forum fits the national stats on this subject, I think we should have the most people in the 15 to 25 range. (National stats show a average commute of 20 something, right?)
