Extended Warranty Price Update
I cancelled the extended warranty on the TCH that I sold and bought a new one for my RAV 4.
Here are the latest prices on the Genuine Toyota Platinum Warranty with $0 deductable:
09 Toyota Camry Hybrid:
6yr/ 75,000 Mile $514
6yr/100,000 Mile $799
7yr/100,000 Mile $964
07 RAV 4
6yr/100,000 Mile $654
7yr/100,000 Mile $780
These prices are from Midwest Toyota Superstore Talk to Mark or Jerry: 1-800-530-5789. They kept saying, "You can't believe the number of warranties we sell because of the web postings."
All they need is the vehicle VIN, mileage, and the date of purchase. The whole think took about 10 minutes.
No, I don't have prices on other models/plans. Howver, I'm sure they would give them to you over the phone.
Yes, they are the "real" Toyota Warranty, not aftermarket.
Yes, I've purchased from them before and have been pleased.
No, I don't work for them, didn't get a special deal, etc., etc, etc.
Enjoy!!

Re: Extended Warranty Price Update
Thanks for the link, I think the computer age has made me even lazier...but wait, I'm practically a child of the computer age.
I'll just blame it on the sluggish economy affecting my motivation to do anything for myself. I just want to collect unemployment, get welfare, and have someone else wait in the bread line for me...

Re: Extended Warranty Price Update
Picked up my new 2009 TCH over the weekend (order placed Sept 8th, arrived at the stealership on Oct 23rd).
Promptly called Mark at Midwest and got the 6yr/100K Platinum warranty for $799 + tax (live in KS so had to pay sales tax). Dealer where I purchased the car quoted me $1750 for the warranty and claimed he was only making "about $100" at this price.
Also, Midwest offers pretty good prices on the pre-paid maintenance program. I didn't buy as I do oil changes myself but for someone that typically pays to have others do this, the prices were pretty reasonable.
Scooters - Thxs for the heads up. I don't think I would have thought about shopping around for a warranty if I hadn't read your thread.

Re: Extended Warranty Price Update
They refund a pro-rated amount. It always works to their advantage, but it isn't too bad. I got about $185 out of $450 back on a 5/75K warranty. I had the car 2.5 years and 40K miles.
