Default Cabin Filter

Does anyone get their cabin filter soaked with water when going through a car wash? If I don't remember to change the air setting to recirculate, my cabin filter gets soaked with water, and the vents don't blow any air until the filter has dried out. I am wondering if something is wrong with the air system, or if this is normal.

There has been mention of this on this forum before. I can't confirm as I don't use drive-thru car washes. Have you tried doing a search on cabin filter or air flow?
