Cabin Airfilter
it should be located behind the glovebox but you need to "remove" the glovebox first. You may or may not need a screwdriver (depending on how your glovebox strut is attached).

No tools needed. I suggest removing the contents of the glovebox first. A flashlight is helpful to see the tabs holding the filter in.
I just open the glovebox, reach over the top of the rear side of the glovebox, press the tabs and pull out the filter. It is a snug fit, but it can be removed by gently pressing down on the rear of the open glovebox as the filter is pulled out.

I took a few pictures showing the tabs on the cabin air filter cover, behind the glovebox, and one showing the cabin filter housing with the door and filter removed. Mine had a few small leaves caught by the filter. The filter is marked with an arrow showing which side goes up when installed.
Gently squeeze the tabs to remove the cover. I used a finger from both hands, pressed in and wiggled the cover out. The filter media slides easily out after you hook it from below with a finger tip and wiggle it out enough to grasp it.

Replace it yourself! See if Canadian Tire has MicronAir Particulate filters for the new Camry. Particulate filters are one step higher than the "dust & pollen" filters that Toyota puts in our cars. Oh and did I mention it's $20?
