BlueTooth not answering phone when there are alerts

BlueTooth not answering phone when there are alerts
I have a Treo 700p.
On normal calls the car works perfectly with the Treo (which is much more than I could say about my Motorola bluetooth headset).
However, if there is an alert on the Treo screen (such as a reminder, etc.) and a call comes in, the car's speaker rings and the display indicates a call, but when I try to answer the call (touching the off hook button on steering wheel), nothing happens. I have to go to the Treo and clear the alert before the call answer function works.
I never had this behavior with the Motorola headset.
Any clues?
Thanks!

Treo's are a pain. I've got a 700wx for work. Even if it did sync properly I'd still have to manually flip the bluetooth between this phone and my personal phone which is an LG VX9900.
For me, it's simple... The Treo is my work phone and when I get in my personal car, it is quiet time and folks can just deal with Voice Mail for a bit. Anyone who I might WANT to talk to has my other number and that works great.
For you, perhaps you should download the latest firmware/software flash updates from your carrier, or from www.palmone.com

Thanks!
I updated the Treo (BT was unusable beforehand).
This is a bizarre situation, since the BT operates properly with my Motorola headset. The phone can answer no matter what screen you are viewing.
The variable here is the car...thus my confusion.
I'm not going to bother e-mailing Toyoya, since they use a computer response system whose replies bear no relationship to the question asked.

I'm not sure if you have navigation in your car? If you do have you tried pushing the talk button on the display screen to see if it picks up that way? I have an 8525 and haven't run into that problem...

Re: BlueTooth not answering phone when there are alerts
I have a NAV based '07 TCH and my Treo 700p failed only for OUTGOING calls if there is an unanswered Treo alert.
I ran ChatterEmail for a while and it would answer the alerts for me
but I had other issues with Chatter and uninstalled it.
I have since upgraded (@Sprints expense) to a 755p and have not
tested it to see if the same quirk exists.
