Default Bluetooth Issues

Just wondering if anyone has been having issues with their bluetooth like the ones I've been having.

I have a Samsung "Blade", and approx 1 of every 5 times I step into my TCH, it causes my phone to lock up and constantly reboot every minute or so... during which time I have no control over the phone and can't make/receive phone calls. Once I turn off the car or step away from the car, the phone starts working again after a couple of minutes.

Secondly, this only happened once, but one time I could make calls, and ppl could hear me and I couldn't hear them.

Don't get me wrong, I love my TCH , but this is the one major issue that I've been dealing with.

there are many known bluettoth issues with the a900. if you have sprint, check out sprintusers.com. there have been several firmware updates for this phone that have addressed bluetooth. if you don't have the latest firmware, that may help your problem.

you can update it yourself on your phone menu..but i don't remember the steps.

My RAZR was easy to connect and use. The battery charge shows as well on the NAV screen. I do understand though past postings that not all service providers activate all the functions the phone has available. I found that weird.

I'm with T-Mobile and its work ok- they don't cover as big an area as others but as long as you're in a metro area - all seems ok.

i now have a treo 700p. it's new and has MAJOR bluetooth issues....to the point that i gave up using headsets and was just waiting for the firmware to be updated. the headset would not stay paired.

when i got my TCH, at first, i didn't even try to pair the treo. but after a few days i gave it a shot and it has been flawless. it does connect and disconnect automatically when i start/turn off the car.

and what is really stange is that the treo phone does not support voice activated calling. when you wear a headset, you have to initiate the call with your phone. BUT, on the TCH, all of the voice dailing features are fully supported.
