Default Avery stone and bug protection

I had an Avery front end mask applied to my wife's TCH yesterday. Looks great! If you didn't know that it was there you wouldn't see it. The tech told me to take it easy for about 4 to 5 days to allow the stuff to cure due to the low temperatures, (50 & 60,s). The kit covered the entire front bumper form wheel well to wheel well and hood to bottom, grill, about 10 inches upon the hood, both mirrors, and the door handle cups.

Is this similar to the 3M product? See:-

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3.../Product_Info/

Can I ask how much it cost? I've been quoted C$299.00 plus tax for the same installation by the dealer except that it does not include the door handle cups. I did not think to ask for those but it sounds like a good idea.

Paulgw: If you can get it done for $299, I suggest that you do it. The Avery bumper kit alone cost $379. The grill, hood, mirrors, and door handle inserts kit was $199. The tech charged $100 for the installation.

The tech told me that the TCH kit was about $100 more than other kits. The kit is pre-cut to exactly fit every part of the car. There is not trimming required at all.

It's usppose to be invisible so what's to see. On an aside every nasty rock ding I've ever had has been smack dab in the middle of the hood where these kits do nothing to protect.

I have seen these things on cars before and some are no that invisable. If this really is that invisable I would like to see some pictures. I live in Florida and the roads are bad here. I alread have 3 rock chips on my hood in just 2 months.

I have a 3M version installed in Denver and it was $425 installed for the whole thing which included mirror and entire front end along with door handles - he was a custom installer - so it wasn't the pre-cut material..... It is invisible accept for the lines where it terminates....I am very happy with it!
