Another fog light question
You have to access the mount point from under the front of the vehicle. Remove the panels under the front of the car. There are two ears on the fog lights that fit under two "slots" and one screw that attach the lights. The lights I purchased were OEM type and cost $82 including shipping and came with new bezels and a wiring harness. I ran a wire tie around the "ears" on the lights after I screwed them in just as a precaution if the screw came out. You can't see the wire ties after installing the bezels. There is no wiring in place for the fog lights, you will have to install the wiring harness. I ran mine through a seperate switch I installed in the dash. I had to lengthen some of the wires in the harness, there was also no wiring diagram with the lights. If you have done wiring before you cam figure it out easily. My biggest problem was where to access the battery power to feed the lights through the relay and where to access the power under the dash to "make" the relay. There are several posts discussing fog lights in the forum. Hope this helps.
Just installed an 'OEM' type kit on my 2009 TCH. Great tip about the wire tie, btw. I connected the main power to the center lug on the fuse box in the engine compartment. I connected the power for the switch to the accessory outlet inside the cubby in the center console. Another great tip is to remove the glove box so you have fairly easy access to the engine compartment. No real problems except the trim bezels for the lights are of poor quality.
They appear to snap in place like the original blanks, but, do not grip properly. I needed to secure them with a small black screw across the top of the trim.

I pulled my main power under the hood from the same spot, and pulled power from the 12V recepticle in the console for the switch. Where did you mount your switch on the dash?
Do you like the finished product? I agree with the fit of the bezels, mine may tighten when I install my ground effects kit on July 2nd. The ground effects fits into the fog light openings so they will be slightly smaller. My hybrid will have the sporty look of the SE camry when I'm done. I can't believe they don't offer the sport looks for the hybrid.
I still have to aim my fogs, any suggestions on aiming them? I have used them and noone has flashed me yet, can't be too bad I guess, but the drivers side is aimed high.
Enjoy your car, we love ours!

I mounted the switch just below the dash. I removed the lower trim panel to make sure there was enough clearance, and, to cut the opening. The panel has a slight curve to it, so you need to position the switch very carefully to assure it mounts flat, and, you don't bump anything behind it.
Not sure about the aim either. There is a **** behind the foglight that is supposed to allow you to aim them, but mine looked like they were aimed OK. Not sure what the **** is supposed to do - vertical / horizontal or both.
Here is a (slightly blurry) photo of the switch:

Here is a before photo without the foglights

Here are some after photos (with and without the car bra):

Thanks. Fits like a glove, I've had it since the beginning of May. I only take it off when going through a car wash. You can see my write up at this link:

I put my switch in the same area on the other side of the vent, closer to the console. I was curious if you had used the switch. Not many places to put the switch. I really wanted to put it over by the ECO switch, but there were too many supports. Did you have to extend your wiring harness? I did, the install wasn't that bad if you take your time.
Nice car, does the bra affect the paint, had one on an '85 Monte Carlo SS and it left marks on the paint regardless of how much I tried to keep it polished and clean.

I think we both have the same generic wiring and switch that come with these foglights. Agree, the other side was too crowded and would have bumped into something. The switch is about 2 1/2" deep. Also had to cut and extend the wires - but only the yellow and black wire from the engine compartment to the switch. Since the red wire needed power inside the car, I only added what was needed to get to the convenience outlet in the center console cubby. I also enclosed the wires with a 3/8" split loom across the length of their runs to protect them.
I take the bra off every two weeks or so when I get the car washed. So far, it has not made any marks, but I'm wary of what others have said in these forums so I'll just have to watch it. I also leave it off during the weekends to 'give it some sun' and help keep the paint level across the car.
