Default Air Conditioner

Hi all, I have an 08 TCH with about 85000 miles and the AC does not work very well. It takes forever to cool off. Im not sure if I need new refrigerant or not. If so, instead of taking to the dealer, can I go to walmart and buy it there and add it myself?

See your other post.... Is it "not cooling well", or is it not cooling at all?

If the A/C condensation drain is clogged and you have a lot of water in there, it will not cool very well.

I am not familiar with charging the A/C on this particular car and would not attempt without a FSM. The compressor on the car is radically different than other cars.

don't try DIY. those are refilled by weight and super sensitive to pressure fluctuations. any reasonable a/c shop should be able to do this for you but!!

FIRST OF ALL, RUN FREON LEAK TEST. or you will pay for nothing.
