Default CVT Valve Boby disassembly pictures

Maybe someone will be interested in what it looks like to remove the CVT oil pan AND pull out the Valve Body, and disassemble the valve body assembly to clean all the channels inside. Removing the transmission pan is the HARDEST part of this job, and not possible to reinstall the bolts without special sockets or wobble extensions.

To remove the valve body, you have to remove the air intake in the engine bay and un-plug the CVT solenoid harness first. Otherwise you'll rip the harness. Once the valve body is on your workbench, it's a very easy job.

ALL of this work didn't really help me though, because my CVT is still making a loud whining noise.

These are the two magnet assemblies inside the pan. Of course, mine were caked on with swarf.

Service manual says clean with "solvent" and dry with air gun. It's a lot of parts and bolts. Service Manual doesn't tell you which bolt is which but it's obvious if you study the parts closely.
