I own a 2009 FEH with 214k miles and in the last 6 months I have gotten the following DTC's (read by using the FORScan app) In all the time I have owned this vehicle I have never seen these brake related codes before. The brakes are working fine, no problems slowing the vehicle down.
I'm not a mechanic but having researched these codes and it looks I could have one of three problems:
1. ABS - Anti-Lock Brake System module
2. HCU - Hydraulic Control Unit
3. Faulty brake flex hoses
Since the ABS and HCU are both expensive to replace I'm thinking of having the brake flex hoses replaced on all 4 wheels as I have read these hoses can collapse internally and not be noticeable from the outside.
Could anyone in this forum let me know if they think this is a good course of action or is another way to go to resolve these brake codes?

"Brake fluid is hydroscopic, meaning it absorbs water. it should be changed every once and a while. This contributes to the calipers and insides of the lines rusting out. Once the hoses start collapsing on the inside it can act like a check valve keeping pressure in the pistons and throwing off the calibration in the computer ABS system causing codes. Many shops including dealerships have misdiagnosed it as the HCU hydraulic control unit. It’s always good measure to keep the system happy and replace the hoses first if you get an error."
Anybody agree or disagree with bad brake flex hoses throwing off the calibration in the ABS system causing my codes?

Can't confirm but I vaguely recall front brake hoses deteriorating to a point that caused "problems".
After driving check the temp of each rotor. If one seems hotter than the other side that's the hose I would change first. I just had to replace a front hose due to brake drag on my 2009 feh.The old hose was clogged. The other diagnostic is to lift each wheel and spin the tire. The one that is harder to spin could be the one with brake drag.
