Power generation and consumption
Any input and feed back would be helpful.
Lets say I have a 12v battery and a 12v motor and an alternator.
Now if the 12v motor turns fast enough to turn the aternator to put out a charge and run the motor which it should then the motor that runs the alternator should be powered from the alternators out put and still have enopugh to put out a charge to the battery.
Now with that said, if we were to run a second motor from this source with the right alternator and planning I figure I could run this second 12v motor may need a more powerful one not sure to run a generator this generator would run a third motor wich would run the the car the drive line.
Now is all the components are put in line with the proper regulators and control pack and using the motors regen the initial battery or batteries depending on the need to run generator the battery or batteries should maintain a full charge.
The solar pannel is on supplemental to keep batteries topped when not running and to assist in the charging when and if required.
Does this theory make sense and does anybody else feel it should work?
I do if the right components are used. Its an equation that must be worked out to meet the demand and surpass it. Even if a more powerful alternator lets say from a transport truck or special purpose vehicle. Also I have heard the some RV's have a large enough generator to put out enough to do small welding tasks. Thus the power generation is possible. Just putting the right combination of motors and gears to meet the rpm's to put out the alt and gens potential.

You realize an alternator and a motor are two sides of the same coin right? You may as well just run the motor off the battery. Is there anything other that the battery turning the alternator?

Well a motor is turning the alternator off of the battery then another motor is running the generator which powers the drive motor.
The Alternator is only being used to power the motor and charge the battery.

It will not work. The exact reason why is somewhat difficult to explain to anyone that lacks a Physics or Engineering background. Basically no device is 100% efficient. You always lose a little everytime you convert energy from one form to another. A motor converts electrical energy to mechanical energy. A generator work the other way and converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. A battery is a storage device the stores electrical energy in chemical form. The only actual source of power in the device you describe is the solar panel. For your device to work the motors and generators would need to be more than 100% efficient which is impossible [edit] at this time.
The short answer is that any motor powering any generator or alternator would require more power than the system would put out regardless of how they were hooked together or geared.
