Default Micro Short code Altima Hybrid

The Niss dealer diagnosed the checkeng/check Hybrid system light as
"micro short" in the Hyb system (battery??)

The light came on days after the car stopped brake-gen. the rest of the system works fine, the batt charges well, I can go through the car wash in neutral w no prob on batt charge. The car has 20k miles since the light came on, but I cannot pass inspection w/lights on.

Dealer says replace the Hyb Batt. This is a 2007 w/213,000miles
Could the fix be simpler? (replace cell, check connections?...??)

Any Altima-turnatives?? Help!

I am not an expert, just someone with some electronics training in my background. Having said that, it seems to me it would just be a circuit board replacement at most, not a battery replacement. I would insist that the Nissan dealer get some technical advice from the corporate tech folks.

Good luck and keep us posted. I'm just approaching 100K on our 97 NAH and getting nervous about these types of things starting to show up.

If you ever find the problem, please let me as I have the same issue with my Altima 2008.
When clear the code, runs for about a 100 miles and check engine light comes back say that it is a micro short..

What is the actual code? P0AA6?

When the light comes back on, is the car disabled until you clear it?
