Default extended warranty worth the cost?

We paid about $1700 and it covers everything that isn't wear and tear for 7/70k. It's zero deductible. Is it worth keeping or buying something from the insurance company when the factory warranty has expired? I am not clear on what the 10/150k hybrid warranty covers because I haven't read the manual yet.

Thanks for any replies.

Read the manual. You'll be pleasantly surprised to see that the 10/150K covers the HV battery and you should have 15 year/150K mile coverage towards passing CA emissions.

I read the warranty manual after posting it and it does cover of things. Did you purchase an extended warranty?

$1700 is probably not worth it for 7/70. You should be able to buy warranties online (from Nissan resellers) for cheaper.

I saw a Nissan Warranty for around $800 or so from a Nissan Dealer online. I wonder if I should just get the MBI from my insurance company. The problem with that is that it will locked me into that insurance company.

I was able to get a 8/120 warranty that covers everything for about $1250.

The warranty I have right now only covers 7/70000 but has an exclusionary policy so it covers everything.

The one thing that deters me from keeping the warranty is our recent experience with our Lexus. We purchased it new in 1999 and it has not needed any major repairs at all. The dealer didn't bother trying to sell us an extended warranty.

I went to the warranty direct site and got an online quote for $928 for 6/100k with zero deductible. For bumper to bumper coverage that adds three years but for the powertrain it only adds one year. Who did you get your warranty from?

I sent an e-mail to the finance director today cancelling the extended warranty contract. I am going to follow up with snail mail today and phone him up in a couple of days.

Sorry for the delay - haven't been on the computer.
I got my warranty from Warranty Direct. Last year around the 4th of July they were having a sale.
