Cost?
The estimted retail price on Edmunds, Yahoo Auto and Kelly Blue book don't seem to have dealers discounting that much - just a few hunded dollars. Most reports from the Northeast seem to indicate much larger discounts - $1,000 to $2,000 under MSRP, depending upon on the option package(s). CA must be more of a seller's market with lower discounts.

I was not able to get a better price and could only negotiate my trade-in value, but I purchased mine back in March and was the first one sold at that dealer. I did get the price before the increase. I'm still gulping at the price, but it has lived up to expectations so far.
We got $500 off MSRP at Mossy Nissan in Poway, California. Frankly, I was surprised because the vehicles with leather and the tech package are almost impossible to find in SoCal.
Valuepac, we purchased ours for $24,000 even. This price was for the base model with the convenience package. (It also had some other package kicked in... but I don't remember what that was as it seemed like a 'give away' that they always kicked in.) Our deal was $24,000 for car plus package and NO delivery charge. The dealer had tried to tack on a $615 delivery charge and we walked away... and wouldn't come back till they dropped it.
If you want to go to PMs, I'll send you the dealer and the to the penny amounts we spent on everything. We are in Southern California (Orange County) so you'd be able to go to the same salesman and tell him you talked to me. They are DESPERATE to move them off the lots... and I'm pretty sure he would cut you the same deal.
I believe our final tally showed the dealership losing $700 on the deal... so Nissan must be giving them a pretty good incentive package to move the cars.

I am in research mode and so far, I can get for INVOICE plus $500 with tech pack in the color I want in Norcal. I live in Socal and am having a hard time finding it as well (I know, shock).
I am willing to spend the money for the plane trip if it means I get the color I want and then drive it home. That's about $200 in costs, much less than what I am getting from dealers here.
