ABG: Nissan axes Altima Hybrid for 2012

After sifting through Nissan's incredibly lengthy "The 2012 Nissan Lineup: Charting the Changes" presser and digging deeper for more info, we can confirm that the Altima Hybrid will vanish from Nissan's extensive lineup of vehicles come 2012...
Dunno. Maybe Carlos Ghosn didn't want to keep paying Toyota for parts to each car?
http://wot.motortrend.com/altima-hyb...ech-87329.html has some speculation. If they do replace it, I suspect they'd use a single motor parallel hybrid system w/clutch like the Infiniti M hybrid, but they can't use the Infiniti M's system directly since the M is RWD and the Altima is FWD.
