Post ABG: Nissan axes Altima Hybrid for 2012

http://green.autoblog.com/2011/06/14...brid-for-2012/
After sifting through Nissan's incredibly lengthy "The 2012 Nissan Lineup: Charting the Changes" presser and digging deeper for more info, we can confirm that the Altima Hybrid will vanish from Nissan's extensive lineup of vehicles come 2012...

http://wot.motortrend.com/altima-hyb...ech-87329.html has some speculation. If they do replace it, I suspect they'd use a single motor parallel hybrid system w/clutch like the Infiniti M hybrid, but they can't use the Infiniti M's system directly since the M is RWD and the Altima is FWD.

http://www.dailytech.com/Nissan+Plan...ticle18956.htm was an article from before the Infinti M (aka Nissan Fuga) hybrid was released.
