    Econline,
I just read the MECS pump thread and you were prominently featured.. Our '06 FEH (90k) did the Stop Safely Now thing 65 on 880 San Jose... luckily not too crowded middle lane. Coincidentally we had just hit a bump in the road... limped to a gas station... 2 more shutdowns... I disconnected the battery/reset and made it home to Santa Cruz avoiding the freeway... hasn't reoccured in 2 weeks short trips only since.. I'm thinking it's that pump... I was wondering when you mentioned avoiding electric mode would this allow the car to run during a pump incident or does it just keep the e. motor coolant temp low?? Ford really should't have had the car shutdown during this event.. seems unnecessarily dangerous... Just wondering any input you have would be greatly appreciated... My Ford dealer is worse than yours... I'm sure.. This is a great site...
    Thanks
    Mike
