Steering wheel - nice. And it could be sourced from Honda Canada. Don't expect any warranty or install assistance, though. If I were to do it, I'd replace the center cover with the one from the Civic Coupe, though. Also, I notice my hands gravitate toward the bottom of the wheel these days. That center spoke might get in the way - but the wheel does look nice. Meaty grips, leather wrapped. Nice. The paddle shifters - more on this later
Interior color scheme (charcoal). Me likey - lots. Dunno if I'd go for the leather, but the bun warmers are the bomb. Thank goodness Webasto makes ones that retrofit - gotta check that out soon.
Engine - I first looked at the FE - 25/36 - WTF...? Then I re-read the beginning of the article. That ain't no R18. Nope, buddy - that's a real, live K20 in there. *That's* why they put the paddle shifters in there! Given that engine, if I were still in that market, I'd be thrilled with 25/36. Of course, the way it was meant to be driven, you'd never see 25/36. More like 20/30.
Body - ****...they got the JDM Civic front end, which looks SO much nicer than the USM one. Oh, well...another few parts to source out. Wheels are nicer - but then just about anything's nicer than our lil 'ol pie plates. I'm expecting to see the 'H' in the center cap replaced with a 'Bakers Square' logo any day now...
Suspension - a low point. You're stuck with the MacStruts up front. At this price point, I understand, but, still...that's a cryin' shame.
Anyone notice that this is built in Alliston ? Sedans are normally built in East Liberty - Alliston builds coupes and the Si. Wonder if Honda might move some HCH production here down the line ?
