Very exciting... is it possible that GM has finally taken a turn for the better?

Even though they killed the EV1 (and it was because they sold the patents to Chevron Oil, not because of lack of interest), at least GM has been proven to be able to manufacture a plug-in vehicle.
Now, the big question is whether they'll actually *build* a plug-in hybrid. This is a company with a long track record of empty promises and shoddy quality. They're also no stranger to taking millions of dollars of tax-payer subsidies and producing *ONE* car. Not one car model, mind you, but one single vehicle.
But maybe this time GM will deliver on their promise. If they made a decent plug-in hybrid that had high quality, I'd give it a shot (as long as it did not bear the Pontiac nameplate).

At first I was thinking, 'famous last words' award but he is still in charge. Instead, we'll just have to award him a "stating the obvious" award.
