These hinder system monitors from ever completeing while plugged in to OBD port so when needed inspection is do owners of these will need to remove this, drive till completed to pass smog. Of course states that require inspections

Also folks that unstuck just bad lifers using these devices run the risk of having to redo their work again once device is removed and driven to complete monitors 😞
