Hi all
I own a Prius II or as you know them a Prius 2004, which I have now had for 1 year. I live in Wellington NZ and use the car mainly for commuting. I live at 1000 feet altitude and work at sea level. My average commute time is around 15- 20 minutes. So as you might guess I get really good fuel economy coming to work and not so good going home.
Over all I am getting around 5.3 litres/per 100 km fuel economy. Which is equivalent to about 45 US mpg. I am very happy with that given the terrain and the fact a lot of my driving is in phase 1 (warming up).
I would however, like to point you to www.energywiserally.org.nz website. This site provides the results of a energy efficiency rally held here recently where the two Prius entered came first and second across all vehicle classes.
Kind regards Doug
