Except...that I don't think my AutoStop feature is working. And YES I always have the economy button on...any ideas?

LaurelGrae,
Welcome to GreenHybrid. Economy button is a good idea. Avoiding all a/c is better.

Well my autostop worked for the 1st time. It seems only to work when I am at a realllly long light. Hmm...I wonder has anyone else with a 5 speed noticed this? It seems from reading these posts that the CVTs even turn of at stop signs?

Laurel,

With the Econ button on, and a charged battery, AutoStop should come on as soon as you stop at a red light and put the car into neutral. It will not come on if you keep the car in first gear. Putting it into gear when the light changes will restart the car.

Also, AutoStop will "turn off" and the car will restart if you do not keep the clutch pushed in all the way while stopped and in neutral.

So the sequence is:

While coming to a coasting stop, put the car into neutral.
Press in the clutch.

This will keep AutoStop activated until you put the car in gear, which is when the car wil restart.....

Hope this helps....

Hey good luck with your 5-speed it is a great car. I like the drive 5-speeds, but i am going to go with the New Honda Insight CVT, since it is cleaner. The 5-speed has an ULEV rating. While the CVT has an SULEV rating. It will also be easier for my friends to drive around and i dont have to worry about replacing the clutch every couple years.
