Default Vertical doors / Lambo type on insight?

I'm looking for hinges for my 2005 insight. Anyone done this before. My garage is a two car 16' and with a Ford explorer next to my insight, getting in and out is not very easy. The insight has a long door you know, Well do I go vertical or not is the question?

A lot of civic guys have done "lambo" doors. I wonder if you can modify one of the kits to fit the insight. go to http://www.7thgencivic.com and see what some of those members have done.

Thanks, I have seen some of the retail site's claim the lambo kit should work on 90% of the prodution cars, but I would like to see one.

Please don't. Only one car looks good with Lamborghini-style scissor doors: a Lamborghini.

Hi Richard,

Richard in Scottsdale, here. I've seen these vertical door kits on Ebay, but beyond the issue of whether or not installing these would violate your warranty is "do they work?" I use the elbow rest on the door to help push myself from sitting to standing position(s). Have you considered that you would lose that by hinging doors vertically?

Best,

Richard
