Talking Hybrid Newbie - Ready for Insight

We're looking for a used Insight, unless someone can convince me to look at a different hybrid ...

I drove the insight when it first came out and I liked it alot... still do, and yes... I like the look of it.

I'm reading all I can on experienced Insight owners.

Thanks!
Terry

You're at least the 2nd person here I've seen who's sold the RAV4 EV.

Welcome, and have fun poking around all the info here.

...wish I could drive one back from CA.

Lessee...100 miles/charge, 7 hours/recharge...~200mi/day... gee, only 2 weeks to cross the US IF I can charge it everywhere I need to stop. Grrr. It would be a great commutermobile for me.

Terry,

Please do not start two conversations about the same topic. Your other thread has been removed.

Not a problem.. was trying to delete the " introductions " post per the nudge from gonavy but couldn't... and asked that he delete it so there wasn't a double-posting. After looking through the available discussion board areas my post seemed more appropriate within with the insight discussion area as that's the car we are looking at, and we're looking for info from experienced insight owners. Let me know if that works for you.
Thanks Jason for making this discussion board available.

You have a very nice Car!... A work associate has the same .. very nice.

Yes, we love the Rav4 ev but I need a bit more range than 105 miles.

If you know anyone interested the Rav4 is on ebay:

I've read about people doing longer trips, they've made adapters for their charger so they can plug in at campsites like RV's do, pitch a tent... take a rest while charging, and get up and go to the next stop. Pretty cool if you have the time.

How hard is it to get an Insight these days? I looked around at them a while back and no dealer anywhere in Southern New England had one. I assume by the fact that your RAV-4 is already on eBay that you have the Insight in hand (or will soon)?
