DVD Navigation Unit?

Re: DVD Navigation Unit?
Hi Eric:
___Might I suggest a mush simpler and much less expensive PDA based NAVI unit instead?
___I know I have written about the pros and cons around the net and even here at GH multiple times. I am not saying it is for everybody but what it can do, it does better then my OEM in the Accord for < 1/3 the price.
___If I head up to the Group Meet next week, I will bring one of the two along so you can try it out for yourself.
___Good Luck

Re: DVD Navigation Unit?
I second that for the PDA GPS. I had originally looked at the Garmin PDA but in the end I went with:
Palm Zire 72 (they now have a silver one that the paint doesn't come off of, mine looks....
Delorme Blue Logger (Bluetooth) w/software
"Cupholder PDA holder, generic brand" (ebayed)
I've had this system since last November and it has been GREAT! I have carried it around outside the car for various "other" uses too. I doubt I could of topped this so I'm VERY happy! Previously I used a laptop with car/desk screwed into the floor. This is much more compact and is easily swapped from car to car. With a little work I could hide the wiring, but I'm more for function than form.
