Both the IMA and the check engine light turned on whilst I was driving today, and my 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid only has 29,000 miles on it! I haven't had a chance to take it to the dealer yet, but it's under warranty until 80,000 miles so I'm not worried about spending excessive amounts on repair.

However, I bought this car brand new in April 2009, and I have to admit that I'm seriously re-considering my choice. Not only does it not get the gas mileage as advertised (I don't check obsessively, but it's somewhere around 34/35 mpg and I drive it very very carefully), but if the lights have come on after such low mileage I can only imagine what kind of troubles this car is going to give me. I need the car to get to work and any time spent driving the car to be fixed is time that I don't have.

I'm really disappointed. Should I sell this car before it starts giving me real trouble?
