Anyone know what it means when the CEL flashes? Not just flash a few times and go out. I mean flashes and continues to do so. And when you shut the car down and start it back up, the CEL remains extinguished? I'm also not talking about when you use heavy throttle while merging on an on-ramp and it flashes several times and sometimes sets a P030x (misfires) type fault code. Mine remained flashing for the rest of my trip. Took it to the dealer and they said no codes of any type stored anywhere in the car. They say they tested several aspects of my car and there's nothing wrong with it and have no idea why my CEL would flash like that, especially without setting a code.
