I bought our 2013 new. From day 1 the CVT ALWAYS delays several seconds before engaging into DRIVE from PARK. I need to ensure that the engine isn't revved up - otherwise the shift into DRIVE would be too abrupt. I took it to the dealer (Martin Honda, Newark, DE) and he told me that's normal. He even let me drive another 2013 to show me it displayed the same quirk. Any comments?

 

If its anything like the HCHII, that probably means you need to change the CVT fluid more often or maybe needs it now.

 

Agreed, or that it's low on fluid.
