RCA Outputs on Non-Nav HCH II Factory Stereo???
I was going to install an amp and sub (in a box) in the trunk - not the bass kit from Honda. Does anyone know if their are RCA outputs that I can use to feed my amp or do I have to tap into the rear speaker wires? I'm trying to avoid tearing apart my dash just to find out.
Has anyone else done something similiar? How did you feed your amp? Also, what did you use to turn the amp on - usually it's a blue wire coming off the head unit.
I'm hoping the hooks up will be there since there is a Honda bass kit.
Any answers/insight will be greatly appreciated. Pictures would be a bonus!
Thanks,
George

if you look at the Honda Bassworks kit it just attaches to the rear speakers and the trunk light for power. So, I would suspect there are not the RCA cables in the back of the radio.

You might try going to the parts counter at Honda. They may have a radio just like yours in stock to show you. A good stereo shop MAY know, also.
