Now my transmission CVT is dead as well at 175,000 miles. $5,000 to replace.

It's currently at the dealer. American Honda refused to help since they helped me already with a new IMA. I'm going to try the dealership if they can give me a discount. It's my only car.

It just will not go. It would just rev up. Stuck in the middle of the road;Towed to the dealership. Sucks.
Currently it is fixed and at the dealership. I'm still trying to talk to the service manager to see if he can help me out with the cost.

UPDATE: Paid $5,102 on a remanufactured CVT (with 6% tax). All the discount I got from the dealership are $150 off labor and 7 days free car rental. Warranty: 3 years/36,000 miles.

$5,100 for a new CVT?! That sounds outrageous. At it's mileage I would've considered dumping it at that point unless you're committed to getting at least 250k miles out of it.
I think the stealership took advantage of you on that I would not expect a CVT to cost that much.

Yup, I check other shops and they would not touch a hybrid since they say they are not trained for them. Trasmission was about 2,500 plus but labor was outrageous.
